First, your car will need services and repairs depending on what you purchased. If your automobile is all-electric, it has no engine. It runs solely from power stored in a battery pack and must be recharged to operate once the energy is depleted. On the other hand, a hybrid has both electrical capabilities and a downsized internal combustion engine. To the extent possible, it uses electrical power. It can take advantage of the more traditional means when it needs extra power or has a drained battery. An EV has no engine to maintain, whereas a hybrid will still need traditional preventive maintenance care (oil changes, etc.) for the engine. Both, however, will need some common services and repairs. For instance, each needs transmission service as well as routine brake care. These models typically have regenerative braking systems, so the energy usually lost during braking is recaptured and stored in the battery.
